BLOGGING PHOTOGRAPHY

Monday, 16 January 2017

Hello everyone hope you are well and your 2017 is going great. Today I would like to share my thoughts and experience about blogging photography. First of all, I am not an expert and my view/take on certain aspects may not be the best but anyways I want to share with you guys. Here they are:

Equipment: I believe one don't need the best dslr/mirrorless camera and the best lenses to come up with amazing photos. A mid range camera and a prime lens (50mm / 85mm) with wide aperture will be good enough to take amazing photos. One just needs to know how to use them.

Lighting: Lighting plays a major role in how the photo turns out to be. My above claim (best vs mid range camera/lens) is valid only when there's sufficient light. These top equipments excel in dim light conditions. The trick is to take photos where & when there's good amount of light.

Location: For me, the biggest challenge in a photoshoot is the BACKGROUND. Background makes or breaks the photo. One can wear the prettiest outfit but its charm or beauty is half undone if the background sucks. Give more importance to the location/background and see how much your photos will improve. You'd be amazed!

Editing: Cameras usually take pictures with enhanced color. I usually tone down colors & adjust other aspects like exposure, contrast, sharpness, etc to get the desired look.

Photographer: Having a good understanding with the photographer is very important, else any miscommunication may end up with photos not up to the mark.

But the most important thing to keep in mind is to have beautiful thoughts and to feel great before & during a shoot. Just have fun with it. This will be reflected in your photos and you will get great results.

Well that's all I wanna share today. Lemme know what you think of my photos (in general) & how I can improve them. I would also like to know what is the biggest challenge you face in a photoshoot. Till next time, bye :)

  3. Great tips!! Lighting is so essential. My best photos are always when we get the lighting right! And I totally agree that you need to have a good relationship with your photographer. My husband takes all my photos so I always feel really comfortable and relaxed during the shoots.

  15. Your look totally blends well with the background of your location. So I totally understand what you're saying about having the right place to shoot. I think having a good eye for framing shots is important too. Your photos are gorgeous and I certainly think you've got a great handle on your blog photography.

  21. Great tips, Eva. :) Totally agree with you that once you have a solid understanding of how light works (and what your cam can and can't do in certain light conditions) you're in a much better spot. Your pics are always fabulous! Love how fab you look in each and every one of them. And I love the locations you scout!
